Windows version is now built with Visual C++ 2015.

There are not really any advantages to the 64-bit builds, and they exist only because they aren't much extra work and some people really wanted them for whatever reason. Note that if you just PM me 'hi' and nothing else I will probably not get around to responding unless I am very bored. A ticket on the bug tracker is the preferred method, but complaining on irc (#aegisub on ), or via email are acceptable as well. I can't fix bugs that I don't know about.

A bunch of the automation machinery has been rewritten to work via LuaJIT's ffi rather than the C API.

Opening multiple documents at once is now supported on OS X, and in general Aegisub tries to behave like a proper document-based application.

This may become an option on other platforms in the future

libass on Windows does not perform font substitutions when a font is missing glyphs to make it more obvious that you need to pick a font for those characters.

fontconfig has been dropped on OS X and Windows in favor of GDI/CoreText-based solutions.
